07-04-25Book Release on the Marlene Poelzig House
In June 2025, a book will be published by Urbanophil Verlag focusing on the Marlene Poelzig House, and related topics such as gender equality in art and architectural culture, as well as heritage conservation.
The book traces a walk through the Marlene Poelzig House, during which not only the building itself is brought back to life, but also a variety of topics that emerged during the debate around the house are explored.
Each room on this walk serves as a space for a specific theme: authorship, equality and feminisms, care work and architecture, archival practices, heritage conservation and material preservation, as well as protest culture.
Framing texts and photo series connect these themes and shed light on Marlene Poelzig’s overall body of work.
Featuring contributions by Andrea Aranda, c/o now, Dr. Mary Dellenbaugh-Losse, Jennifer Dyck, Mariam Gegidze, Dr. Jeonghi Go, Dr. Heike Hambrock, Karin Hartmann, Anna-Maria Mayerhofer, Prof. Dr. Matthias Noell, Samira Ozminski, Dr.-Ing. Mary Pepchinski, Tanja Scheffler, Dr. des. Monica Tușinean, Prof. Dr. Volker Welter and many more.
